What service we provide

The Equipment & Engineering Business Department is to undertake the business of incorporated parts used for the technical revamping project, planned project and the improving repair project for the membership units of Baosteel Group and the other social enterprises, and the export trade, domestic trade of the odd fixed assets, technical consultancy business and the multi-national trading business; arrange, accept and manage the different kinds of engineering projects from the international organization, government organs, enterprise and institution units, to the private owner; export the personnel of different professions concerning the engineering, production, technology, consultancy and the labor power; accept the businesses covering the international tendering, technical revamping projects for the mechanical and electrical equipment by membership units of Baosteel and the social enterprises as well as the government organs, and the government procurement plan under public bidding.
To undertake different types of translating services of different languages for various enterprises.

Growth of the department

The Import and Export Company of Baosteel was founded in 1985, and started to engage itself into the business of importing the complete set of equipment and the technical patent, technology export and overseas engineering contracting etc. in 1988.

In 1996, the Material Trading Department, Spare parts, Economic & Technological Company were incorporated into Baosteel International Economic and Trading Corporation. In 1998, No. 1 Division of Equipment & Engineering, No. 2 Division of Equipment & Engineering, Spare Parts Department and the Tendering Office were respectively established.
Later, in April of 2002, Baosteel International combined the above units into the Equipment & Engineering Department.
